We offer a series of seasonal horticultural and related courses at The Beeches Barcombe. Each course is presented by a lecturer with expertise in the specific subject.

Wildflower meadows are both visually stunning as well as being important cultural and environmental habitats. Have you got a spare bit of lawn, or border that you could set aside for wildflowers? Come and learn about the different types of meadows, the plants which are best suited to your soil type and how to create one in your own garden, no matter what the size.
Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Please arrive at 9.30am for a prompt 10.00am start.
Full day courses will include all materials where relevant, refreshments and a 2 course lunch with wine.
Laurie McMillan is a Sussex based professional gardener with over 25 years’ experience. During this time she also lectured for nine years at Plumpton College in East Sussex where she delivered a wide range of both practical and theoretical Horticulture courses. Laurie has an extensive knowledge of the care of plants and the conditions in which they flourish. She has the ability to share her knowledge in a passionate and caring way, bringing together her love of plants with her joy of teaching to create a learning experience that is informative, supportive and fun.
